CRTC - No Cancellation Charges for wireless contract after 2 years for Canadians

The voices of many Canadian wireless device users (cellphones and personal mobile devices) has been heard.  The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) issued a code of conduct, on the 3rd June 2013,  that allows Canadians to cancel their plans, without a cancellation fee, after two years.

In addition the code aims to end "bill shock."  Extra data charges are to be capped at $50 per month and
$100 per month for international data roaming.

These changes will come into effect 2nd December 2013 when purchasing a new contract for your cellphone or personal mobile device.
